What a great day with Pat and Annette at Cardinal. They had just purchased their new home, so it was really nice to take some pictures of them there before the ceremony.

It was a beautiful ceremony and then off to Cardinal for the reception. We made a quick stop at the Red Crest to use the great barn there.

July 22nd

Meridith and Blair had a beautiful wedding and what a party. Meridith said the speeches has to be done by nine so the party could start... and it did and was still going strong when I left.
They wowed the crowed when during their 1st dance they broke out into an amazing dance routine.

July 16th

Hot! Hot! Hot! And I am not just talking about the way Mandy looked. I am talking about the weather; it was a scorcher. They had a beautiful wedding at the Glenway. We did the best we could in the intense heat, those poor men in tuxes. Sometimes it is advantageous to be a women. We worked quick and efficient so i could get everyone back into the air conditioning and a cold drink in their hand before the melted.
Mike and Mandy seemed so well matched, I hope and have no doubt that they will be very happy for a long time.

July 9th

Brett's parents had a stunning back yard and that was where the ceremony was held. We has a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. One of Brett's groomsmen cleaned up his Harley for the day and it made a great prop for pictures.
Brett and Yvonne have the most beautiful matching blue eyes, they made for stunning images.

July 2nd

Christine looked like a little china doll on her wedding day.
She and Malcolm got married at a lovely church in Aurora. It is the first wedding I have been to where the groom was up at the front of the church playing his guitar and singing as the guests were being seated- it was incredible.
After the ceremony we headed to the Red Crest Golf Club for a few photo's and then to Cardinal Golf Club for the remainder; the mini put makes for some great images.
I enjoyed working with off of you; we had an amazing day.

June 25th

Amie and Blakes Wedding planing was a little bumpy along the way but when you saw the end result you would have never known it. it was a casual fun out door weddin. It rained quiet a bit in the morning but Amie was a trooper and ever tried on the "English Wellies" I brought for to wear just in case she needed them.
Just before the ceremony the rain stopped- all the chairs were moved back outside as planned. The day went off without a hitch. Every one was relaxed and fun, it was a huge party and everyone had such a great time.

This wedding took me to Bellcroft Estates-what a cool and unique place. And excellent place to shoot a wedding.

Brittany and Dave had a beautiful day, not too hot and not too cool, it was just perfect. There was not a dry eye in the house when Brittany's son Cowen 2 years in age in his little tux was included in the ring exchange part of the ceremony; it was beautiful. I spent Thanksgiving weekend in Peterborough with Shelly and Greg. They were married at the Kawartha Golf Club, and we had another fantastic day for an outdoor wedding. Poor Shelly was so sick, but hung in there for the whole day. It is a family tradition, to have you wedding pictures taken with Greg's Uncles really cool antique car, so we followed tradition. It made for some fantastic shots.

Jessica and Alex had their wedding at the Briars in Jacksons Point. Poor Jess, went in to the hospital for what she thought was going to be routine day surgery, it didn't turn out that way. She ended up having major surgery just before her wedding. The poor thing was in so much pain, but you wouldn't know it by looking at her, what a trooper!

As you can see with Amy and Rich's wedding the farming theme carried right through! They had ordered a brand new combine harvester for the farm, and as luck would have it, it was being delivered the week of the wedding. So instead of taking it to the farm they had it delivered to Mill Run Golf Course were the reception took place. I have had lots of really cool cars, trucks, motorcycles to use for pictures, but I have to say this was a first for me!

Everything went great, except for the part when I fell in the mud on my butt! Good news was, camera was safe, bride and groom stayed dry and mud free, and the picture turned out great!

John and Abby had a Canada wedding, with a hockey theme. John is a hockey announcer so it was only fitting. The ceremony started in Thornton, in a lovely old church. We went to the Brides house for photo's and then a huge coach bus whisked everyone to The Ray Twinney Complexs for the reception. There were wedding programs set up like a program to a hockey game handed to all the guests, the wedding party was announced in like the players of a hockey game would be, the bride and groom met and center ice for a ceremonial puck drop, dropped by the moms from each side. It was very well thought out, and I know everyone had a fantastic time.

Heather and Nick's wedding was full of lots of new experiences for me. I very seldom get to downtown Toronto, so the view from their balcony with the CN Tower in the background was spectacular. A custom with their wedding was for the best man to place money in the brides shoe before the ceremony, so he arrived at their apartment with a band, and they played her out into the lime. The ceremony was in the Macedonian Orthodox church, and I had never seen this kind of ceremony before, if was beautiful, and including a crowning ceremony. We left there and went to the Toronto Soccerplex for pictures, as Nick was a huge soccer fan. It lent itself to pictures a little different look than others I had taken, and offered a great back drop for soccer fans! We ended up at the reception hall, just as a blizzard started. Troopers that they were, we did try to do some shots outside, before we decided to take our freezing selves back inside.

Wendy and Jeremy, have been clients, turned friends. I met them at first when they were in a wedding I was doing photo's for, then when they were getting married, I did engagement their pictures, I did their wedding pictures, I did Christmas pictures with their pets, I did maternity pictures, and lastly I did pictures of their newest addition Baby Olivia. I had not had a holiday for two years, so I booked one leaving for Morocco right after a very busy Christmas season.

I went on my own, but joined a bus tour with 40 other travellers from all over the world . We toured around the country for 8 days, it was amazing. I had far too many pictures to share, so I thought I would choose to show you how I spent my New Year's Eve. We were booked for a camel ride in the Sahara Desert to watch the sunset, unfortunately we had one rain day on our holiday, and it happened to be that day. As far as I am concerned, as nice as it would have been to see the sunset, the rain just added to the adventure. How many people when asked, "What did you do New Year's Eve?" will be able to answer, I rode a camel in the Sahara Desert in the pouring rain!

Men in Trees Part 2

For those of you following along with my blog, you know I had a very large tree, that was fighting a loosing battle, cut down in my front yard early this summer. I couldn't bring my self to cut it all the way to the ground. Much to my all neighbours displeasure I left it standing about 12ft tall, until I decided what I wanted to do with it.

I finally decided what I wanted to do, and found the man to do it, John Thomas. He created a wonderful carving for me, that I will enjoy for years. There are a few things I am going to do to finish off the project. At least now my neighbours have something new to talk about.

You captured every moment:) You will always hold a special place in our hearts. Everything that you have done for us up and including the wedding has been such a memorable experience! Ashley and Jason had an afternoon Sunday wedding, at Madsen's Greenhouse. I don't think it could have gotten any hotter! They have a beautiful daughter who joined them for their first dance. They make a lovely family!

Londii and Brian got married at Madsen's Greenhouse, it was a perfect day for an outside wedding. Red taffeta dresses, calla lily's, orchids and wedding cakes with waterfalls, completed their dream wedding.

I just realized I had never posted Lauren and Jason's pictures....better late then never. Lauren and Jason got married at the Glenway Golf and Country club. It couldn't have rained any harder that day! So needless to say their outdoor ceremony got moved inside. It did clear for a little bit and we were able to do a few photo's outside, but we made the best of it and had a great day.

I have worked with Jenn, Jeff and the kids before, but this day the whole family came along. Jeff's parents were celebrating their wedding anniversary and requested a family portrait. So they , their two children, and their families met me down at Fairy Lake, to create that for them.

I have had fun this wedding season visiting placec I have never been before. Sara and Art's wedding was unique. Beautiful classic cars drove the bride, and all the bridesmaids to Drysdale's Tree Farm. It was such a picturesque site. The ceremony was outdoors, and although hot, was absolutely beautiful.

I love growing along with couples. I did Mike and Wendy's wedding pictures, then newborn pictures of Brock when he was born, and now pictures of their newest addition Marisa Ellen. She was born July 16 and was 7 lbs 15 oz.

Natasha and Mike shose to get married at the Kortright Center. I hadn't been there since a public school field trip many, many years ago. The ceremony took place in a clearing under the towering maple trees. It was a beutiful spot, and the dresses and colours they chose couln't have matched the venue better.

Dayna and Mark got married at Madsen's greenhouse. There were thunderstorms off and on all morning, but luckily things cleared up nicely before we started taking pictures. The whole group was co-operative and full of fun, which made for some great shots. The wedding was full of Greek traditions, kicking over the wine before leaving the house, the pig dance, and lots of Greek dancing. Everyone had a great time.
